Professional Onboarding Process for IT and Cable Technicians

Thank you for your interest in joining our team of skilled IT and cable technicians. We appreciate you taking the time to respond to our advertisement. Please allow us to provide you with an overview of our onboarding process and payment structure.

Onboarding Process

  1. Initial Evaluation: After receiving your information, we will carefully review your skills, experience, and qualifications to determine if they align with our current needs.
  2. Temporary Account Setup: If your profile meets our requirements, we will set up a temporary account profile with our service company. This will allow us to assess your performance during the initial assignments.
  3. Probationary Period: Once you begin receiving work assignments, you will be required to complete six successful assignments or work for the first three months after your initial job, whichever comes first. During this probationary period, we will evaluate your work quality, professionalism, and adherence to our standards.
  4. Full Account Activation: Upon successful completion of the probationary period, your account profile and access will be fully activated, allowing you to receive regular work assignments.

Availability and Tools

Please note that technicians must have their own set of tools and be available for work assignments. We kindly request that you provide us with your current availability, as this will help us better match you with suitable projects.

Payment Structure (1099)

  1. Square Payroll: After your first assignment, you will receive an email from Square to sign up for their payroll system. This will facilitate direct deposit payments for your completed work orders.
  2. Payment Terms: Payment terms vary depending on the company you will be working for on a particular assignment. You may be working for different companies at various times. Payment will fall betweeen $30/hr to $60/hr or more, commensurate with experience and expertise.
  3. Service Fee: Service technicians on our platform are subject to a 13.9% service fee on the total work order value. For example, if a technician completes a $200 work order, they will receive $172.2 for that work order.
  4. Payment Schedule: Work orders will fall into one of three categories:
    • 0-day terms (transferred on the first Friday following work order approval)
    • 7-day terms (transferred on the second Friday following work order approval)
    • 14-day terms (transferred on the third Friday following work order approval)
  5. Subcontractor Status: All work is subcontractual, and we do not withhold taxes. Subcontractors will receive a 1099 form for tax purposes during tax season.
